Please note that the volunteers will not be familiar with library-specific apps like Libby or PressReader. These drop-in sessions are meant to help you perform simple tasks on your devices

Samhain Night at the Port

An evening of psychic readings, local vendors, and fire celebrating the traditional pagan festival of Scotland. The evening will begin with a moon ritual organized the Cape Breton Pagan Society. There will be a market with local vendors. The Port stores will be open! Refreshments by Island Folk Cider House. Admission is free. The Psychic Readers will have an individual cost for their readings. Costumes are welcome. Monetary donations and cans or bags of cat food will be collected in support of Home is Where the Heart is Cat Rescue. Presented by Red Label Kilts and The Pickled Thistle.

Wreck Hunter: The Shipwrecks of St. Paul Island

Join Terry Dwyer, resident expert on St. Paul Island and its shipwrecks as he dives into the history and shipwrecks of St. Paul Island. Terry Dwyer has been working in the Canadian recreational, commercial and scientific diving industry for almost 40 years. He is the author of two books, Wreck Hunter volumes 1 and 2, and an expert on St. Paul Island and its shipwrecks. He will deliver a slide show presentation regarding the history and shipwrecks of St. Paul Island. Registration is required.
